Last weekend’s successful concert has brought relief to the beneficiaries of the Syzygy Music Festival held at Gaisano City Capital in Iloilo City.
The proceeds of the said music festival provided wheelchairs, walkers and crutches to the chosen recipients headed by the Lions Club in Iloilo.
This remarkable event wouldn’t be possible without the support that came from the young mob who attended the Syzygy Music Festival. Those who attended the concert not only had fun but also contributed to the humanitarian help extended to the most needy.
Are you one of the concert’s thousands of attendees? Take a look at some of the faces you’ve brought happiness to.
One of its organizers, Mr. John Alba, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated on the event. On Syzygy’s social channel, Mr. Alba said:
Wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and other humanitarian help. Thank you for helping us help others. It brings a tear to my eye to see the good that we can do if we just forget our differences, come together, UNITE and save those who really need our help. Thank you so much Iloilo City for helping us make this a reality. Extra special thanks to our Bosses Dr. Robert Sy, Lion Governor Marissa Sy, Lion Governor Eden Anthony Tan & Lion Evelyn Tan; without the support of our Lion leaders, this would never have been possible. Special thanks also to our partner Bombo Radyo who helped us distribute the supplies.
We love you Iloilo.
Famous bands such as Parokya ni Edgar and Spongecola graced the event together with other music personalities like Ron Poe, DJ Callum David and Victor Pring. The enjoyment of concert-goers are truly evident during the event but what is even more amazing is how the music festival was handled-superbly organized!
More importantly, the entire city lead by the youth, has shown great efforts to make everything possible for a good cause.
Indeed, Iloilo City is a gem of the south; truly one noble city with a class act of people.
